Pieter grew up in
Kampala, Uganda, with English as his native language. He went to
primary school there, followed by secondary school in
Amersfoort, Leeuwarden and Zeist in the Netherlands.
After finishing the Higher School of Economics in Groningen in
1983 he worked for (subsidiaries of)
ABN-AMRO, Econocom and
Wärtsilä NSD Corporation in the Netherlands. He was posted in
Nairobi, Kenya, for several years to assist in setting up a
Wärtsilä Subsidiary for the East Africa region. This involved
organizing, structuring and managing the financial and general
administrations. Pieter has also held financial positions with Euroverde,
KLM Equipment Services and
Thales Nederland.
After deciding to
become a full time professional translator in 2005 and setting
up PAK Business Services, Pieter was sworn in by the Court of
Justice in Almelo, the Netherlands.
